Brigalloween
The third edition of Inclusive Halloween came to fruition. As envisioned during the beautiful evening of “Strangers for a Night,” we realized this unique experience.
In the prestigious setting of the University for Foreigners in Perugia, the boys put on an evening in perfect Brigata Indipendente style.
Our Brigalloween does not celebrate monsters or demons but the truest inclusion ... that of people who have a desire to build a better world together even by simply “participating.”
This year the inclusion was NOT only social but also geographic and cultural, thanks to the contribution of many foreign students who had fun alongside us … to finally get to food inclusion with the presence of gluten- and lactose-free sweets and savories.
Having quenched our thirst (very hot evening) and our hunger thanks to the street food stands we finally dedicate ourselves to this special universe of UNISTRAPG, a university and atmosphere so unique that it has no equal. They are not just students, they are practically a whole world concentrated in a few different environments, languages and traits that have in common a smile and a desire to have fun together. In all this, the Brigata is just another “part of the world” to smile at and have fun with.
So we enjoy the musical performances that inevitably trigger our desire to dance together with everyone, in a spirit akin to the events we organize at Brigata … Where everyone is invited … We are all different and together we are beautiful.
The rhythm of the evening was set by the fantastic Dj Alex, Dj Maks and Dj Piyanki who in pure inclusive spirit joined us making the party a blast.
Unistra PG wanted us in its facilities to cultivate and spread our message of social culture of inclusion, with the presence of Rector Valerio De Cesaris proving to be an “accomplished dancer” along with his family and the students’ council members who collaborated with us on the set-up in a wonderful atmosphere.
A nice surprise was the visit of the Mayor of Perugia Vittoria Ferdinandi, who together with the Councillor for Social Affairs Costanza Spera honored and delighted us with their presence by dancing along with us sparing no energy … a nice message of sensitivity to our social purposes on the part of the city’s institutions.
It was also wonderful to have the presence of so many associations that are friends of the Brigade, including Angsa, La Bottega Azzurra, Atelier crescere con arte, Coraggio, Fiadda Umbria and Uno in più di Corciano who participated in our celebration in which everyone is a protagonist … no one excluded.
Finally tired but entertained we finish the dances, say goodbye and put everything back in place.
Ready to get together again next year with the same enthusiasm and lots and lots of fun.
